Accounting Clerk - Automotive Dealership

Lexus of Oakville is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team.

The successful candidate will support our daily accounting operations, vehicle sales accounting, reconciliations, and month-end procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Process daily cash receipts, deposits, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Review and process previous-day work orders.
• Prepare payments, cheques, and bank deposits.
• Assist with posting new and pre-owned vehicle deals.
• Process lease return payouts and buy-ins.
• Post and reconcile credit card transactions and parts statements.
• Maintain and reconcile vehicle sales-related accounts and schedules.
• Investigate and follow up on outstanding items and accounting discrepancies.
• Work with other dealership departments to resolve accounting issues.
• Ensure recurring bills and expenses are paid on time.
• Assist with month-end accounting and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records and provide general accounting and administrative support as required.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
• Automotive dealership accounting experience is an asset.
• Experience with Reynolds Ignite is an asset.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash handling.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional communication skills and a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily and month-end deadlines.
